I am glad you brought the subject up because I have just fitted a couple of fibre optic front sights to some of my rifles and also a shotgun and it has improved my abbility to get on target by at least 100%.
Shakari is talking about fitting a fibre optic front sight to a new Sabi in 404 .
I believe your idea is great especially for us older blokes with failing eye sight..
