Hey guys,

First time on the board, must say this is a fantastic forum. I have always had a love for double rifles, going to own one when I can afford it. I'm wanting to go back to Africa & hunt this time, not just take photos. Can't think of a more classic rifle to hunt with.

Anyway, my question is how effective would magnaporting a double be? Would this also have any influence on changing the point of impact when the rifle has been regulated for a specific load.

With regards to recoil, how much more severe is the 470 class over the .375 H&H. I love shooting my mates .375 M70 and I think it is a real pussycat to shoot (300grs at 2600fps)
