In the great commonwealth of Virginia, in the public range I went to, you could only shoot off the bench.

It sucks.

When working up loads now, when I can, I use shooting sticks.

Shooting sticks may be for you a cheaper and easier alternative than a standing rest.

But boy do I want a standing rest!
