Sounds like the gun doesn't fit you that well.

I also suggest taking the gun to a stocker and
getting them to adjust the stock to better suit you.

FYI, I broke a tooth from one of my 500 Nitro's
due to it not fitting me very well - sock came up and
hit the bottom of the jaw ! - All the dentist saw was money !!!

Alternatively, get a Beartooth Products Comb Raiser
which not only allows you to raise the top of the comb but
also provide cushioning. PM me if needed.
