I guess you could get a leather and oak trunk case but while they are more attractive then the Americase, I am not sure how much protection they would offer.

Another route you could go would be to get a Pelican or Starlight case. They are made from a heavy duty injection moulded polymer resin (I think). Inside they use polyurethane foam that you cut out to match your rifle or whatever else you want protected.

I use a Pelican for my bolt guns.... Just seems a DR should have a nicer place to sleep. For that reason, I would choose the Americase. It may even be lighter too.
