This rifle was built for a user who knew and specified exactly what he wanted. The fit and finish were up to what one would expect in a deluxe. As I said before, the beavertail forend looked a bit strange as it was fairly long; but it did not feel ungainly. I would have had to take about 1/8 inch out of the cheekpiece for it to fit me perfectly. [I shoot quite a bit of cast] Mr Hopkins obviously specified the peep sight with a single folding 100 yard leaf. The rifle had great balance and pointability; and with the peep, was like lightning. After 15 or more trips to africa, the rifle was still as tight as the ainal sphincter of a sperm whale during a power dive, and did not look to have been rejointed. I do have to admit, 75 K was my top bid when sober. My next bid would have to have been 85K or about $100,000 with the juice. I probably would have gotten cold feet anyway. There are always more rifles out there; but not many like this one. All the best, SXS
