I think it's an ejector gun. But without seeing more of the action or forend, I couldn't be sure. It is missing the screw that holds the extractors in (hole in the front lump). Without that screw, both of the arms will fall right out. From what I saw, I would say the wood has been refinished and the hardware has been reblued. If the gun was rebbled 50 years ago, it may have been totally redone back then. I think the reblue on the hardware is more current. Also, in one of the pics, the toplever is right of center. On a gun like this, that lever should be centered (unless it was just put back on the face). Who knows what else is up with it. Without an inspection/refund period, I think there's just too much risk in it. OWD |
