Good stuff there no doubt, I've been having a great time with our little ten month old critter.

Balance point?
Think 'between the hands' and note that's different with each shooter. How do you (or whoever is getting the gun) handle the rifle? Get the balance point right there in between the hands of the shooter and you're likely to please them with the balance of the gun.
Both of my centerfire double rifles balance ahead of the pivot pin and handle very nicely. One is British from the 1880's and the other is Belgian from the late 1930's
