Re: Which 9.3mm is a better choice???

If we get serious and face facts, the 9,3X74R is not a DG round, and it makes little difference whether you have a SXS or O/U in that caliber. I love my 9,3X74Rs, but I'm using heavier for the Mahenge North buffalo hunt in late August. I will have along a BBF in 12ga 3" over 9,3X74R for birds and PG, however

I used a 9,3X74R in a drilling several years ago to take a buffalo for a guy who had Hops Flue the whole hunt and never made it very far out of camp. We were all glad he didn't try taking his buffalo. I took it for him, at his request, while Francolin hunting with the drilling. It sure did nothing to convince me that a 9,3X74R is a vaible choice for buffalo.

In a 9,3X74R get what you like and have fun with it. I have preferred my Valmet 412 to my pedigree Lajot o/u and to a Merkel 140 I had some years ago. The Valmet O/U shot rings around the other two guns and is easy to regulate to different loads.
