Here's another vote for the .400 Jeffery, in any or all configurations. Opinion based on many years of successful use, without a single disappointment. Includes many large buffalo bulls and boars too nemerous to mention. Shot 19 pigs with mine last Thursday.

I should add that an original 24"-barrelled Jeffery .400 double rifle will make the shooter a better hunting shot than he otherwise deserves, they are just built right!
