I just don't know.
With the big furry mane and gently upwardly curving horns they just look kinda funny .

I wonder if there was some species of game in India back in the early eighties that's gone to extinction by now, but would seem to look like these beasts.

I really like the graveyard/hayenas scene.
I was told that hayenas like to prowl the graveyards at night, the piles of human ashes tend to contain bones. Hayenas like the charred bones...
