I have looked through that site you linked for information on the maker of my rifle. They have some information, but what I'd really like to see is the build log from the factory. I'd gotten very close months ago, and found out where the records had gone, but my attempts to contact the keepers of the records have gone unanswered. Judging from the early serial number of my gun, the Wilson locks, and the strange chambering, I'm guessing early 1880's date of manufacture.

About these animals, can you identify the horned creatures on that left lockplate?
