I merely answered the quesiton regards iron sights. Express sights ARE the best for DG, period.
: I did not address scopes at all. One's eyesight usually starts (previously non-glassed shooter) to degenerate at age 40. I still don't need a scope to hit a bull moose or deer through the lungs out to 250 to 300yards with irons in the open, but do need eye glasses to see my main targets, gophers, and a scope to hit them with. They are my main target, because I shoot thousands of them every summer, compared to one deer, one moose each fall(if I hunt them)ometimes not.
: I do use a scope for big game, as it makes threading a bullet through the underbrush much easier, so a clean path may be taken.
