Hey guys, I went out to shoot my dad' snew Fraser 303 double today to get an idea where to start for regulation. I fired some factory winchester 180 grain bullets at 50 yards and the gun shot apart by about 4 inches. Each barrel went into about an inch. Now I know these factory loads are anemic and that coupled with the worn throat leads me to believe that velocities were quite low. I am planning on working up a load to see if it closes together but was wondering if there are other 'rules' for smaller caliber rifles. Would it be worth trying some 215 grainers or would they just shoot apart more? Thanks, Brett |
