Gentlemen

I am interested in your opinions on this. Lets consider Merkel, Krieghoff and Chapuis doubles with say a Leupold 1.5 - 5 VX III scope. What would you consider to be too heavy taking into account the rifle would be carried a lot and is a relatively light calibre? What weight would be just right?
