I agree. You have to have total confidence in your rifle, ammo and ability and hopefully you have practised beforehand. Snap shooting at close range is where you know your gun fits as you shouldn't even be sighting the gun - IMHO, a good double "points' like a good Shotgun. I fired once at a Buff that was going to charge at 50 - 60 yards as it gave me the opportunity before charging. The other one started at 40 yards and I waited until it got to 15 yards as I only had a bolt action 338 so wanted to make sure I hit her. Shoot when it feels right ! 500 Nitro |
