Singh Your thought process is a good one. I have a 9,3x74R Chapuis as well as 2 big bore doubles. The 9,3 Chapuis is my favorite hunting rifle under 40 cal. Of all the 9,3x74R's I have handled or shot I like the Chapuis the best. My rifle is the lowest grade UGEX. The rib is precut for scope mounts. I have 2 scopes fitted and sighted in. I have taken several coyotes, a bobcat, several turkeys, deer, and wild pigs, 2 black bears, 11 impala, baboon, civet cat, jackel, baboon, kudu, waterbuck, and klipspringer. While I have taken more game with iron sights than the scope I would not even consider having a 9,3x74R double that was not scoped. Which ever 9,3 double you get you will like it. I am taking my Chapuis back to Zimbabwe this March. |
