I may be wrong of course, but in my humble opinion the problem with India's tigers is the same problem their elephants are having. And that is not enough habitat. From what I've heard they have more tigers than they have room for. I believe it is because each male tiger requires so much space for a territory or something like that. Does anyone know more about this? ALso personally I think that since they have more than they have room for, VERY controlled hunting could be a good way to raise money for tiger conservation. The same for the elephants too. To bad the rhinos and lions arnt in as good a shape. Damn shame. It would be nice if they were in good enough shape to be hunted to raise conservation money too.
