It would seem that .22 centerfires would be decent for calling foxes at night. Around here, shotgunning distances predominate.

In that vein, I have been interested in the feasibility of an extra set of rimfire barrels on a small-framed DR,
like the Merkel 141 or 161, along with a regular set in something like 6.5X65R or .270 Win. for whitetails.

Could this work?
