Re-opening this interesting thread.

What about the smaller double rifles. Any reason for a .22 double, a .243 or .25 double?

I know there are a fair few European doubles in 6.5mm but a 6.5 mm is a great calibre bridging the gap between the smallest and the versatile 30's and 8mm's due to its heavier bullet loadings.

What would say a .22 Hi-Power double be used for?
