I owned a copy for a short while and then sold it.

Not bad, not great. If you want lots of full color pictures, its a pretty good book (unfortunately with lots of pictures of bad engraving...). He had some "gun review" sections that do not give you more information than you get from ads from the various makers. An interesting thing is that the focus is on Continental double rifles (Krieghoff, Chapuis, etc) rather than English one, so you get some interesting pictures and observations on them rather than the whole book being on English rifles.

He duplicates a great deal of loading info G. Wright had in his book and cartridge information that again you can get from COTW or Wright or other sources.

On the whole is ok, but I would not spend the kind of money DJG is asking for it. Just my opinion.
