Concerning Verney-Carron and the Double Rifle shown in 470Nitro (06/11/03 10:22 PM) message, this side by side model is not available from Verney-Carron anymore.
However, the over&under Sagittaire NT Double Express is an interesting double rifle with a good quality/price ratio and the availability of 12 gauge, 20 gauge and even .410 aditional barrels that can be fitted on the same receiver.
