I don't mean any offence but I think you are letting you emotions get involved too much. Before accepting this rifle you really NEED to get it evaluated by a competent DR guy to see if this will be an easy fix. If the seller doesn't allow this then he obviously knows there is something significantly wrong with the rifle and is a huge warning sign. Do yourself a favor and follow the advice that everyone has given you here. If it were me and everyone on this board, who can be objective because not emotionally involved, were telling me to at least have it checked out I hope that I would take their advice.
