If anyone is worried about barrel life in a double rifle, just shoot factory ammo. At the price of the stuff, there are very few of us who could come close to wearing a barrel out. But if your income is such that the price of factory ammo for the nitro express calibers is no concern for a few thousand rounds, then get a rifle in .600 NE and I personally guarantee that you will not fire enough rounds to wear the barrel out.
