I like a hood on a scoped rifle to protect the front sight when using the scope, but I do not like a hood when using the rifle with iron sights. The exception is a H&K 91. The "hood" is very large and does not get in the way. The front post is centered in the "hood", in low light if you cannot see the post, just put the target in the center of the hood and press the trigger.Not to confuse a combat rifle with a DG rifle, but.... Sometimes the shoting situation is similar IE close and fast. |
