What do you guys think of a front sight hood? What are the pros and cons of getting a DR with or without one? I think I want to get one on my DR mainly as a sight protector in case the rifle gets dropped. Are there things I am not thinking about as far as the hood. Most of the Searcy's I have seen don't have the hood...Is there a reason for this?
