Fred, one of my best friends has a W.J. Jeffery in 475#2 Jeffery (.488 caliber)
It weights 11 lbs and is one elephant kill'n machine. For me the 475 in that weight is just on the cuff of what I can tolerate in recoil.

As my fellow members of the DRSS can tell you I think the 500 3 inch rifles ought to weigh at least 12-15 lbs for me!

I hate a 500 3 inch! Just hammers me! And I can atest personally that a 500 3 inch kicks harder than a doubled 470!
