Well I'd recomend the 500NE. Of course thats because that is what I bought. It is right at what I feel can REALLY handle. That means being still able to get off a second shot with out having to wait till things clear and I know what planet I'm on. ![]() If you are able to and if you have doubts I'd suggest trying both and pick the one you feel most comfortable with. That is what I did. I had pretty much decided on a Searcy as I didn't feel I knew enough to not get burned on a used gun. And the stock sized to fit Me was very attractive as I'm 6'3'' and about 213 lbs. I want down to Boron and was able to shoot a couple of guns to make sure I could handle it. I'd bet if you asked Butch He'd say sure come on over and try what you'd like. I think you'd enjoy it and Butch is one hell of a nice guy and a true gentleman. I buy guns to shoot and that is what Butch builds, but I must admit his wood shore is purty. I'm not an investment banker so it's not just an investment to Me. Though I doubt I'll lose money on the gun. Oh yeah, one more thing, price what ammo/reloading components cost for the two calibers ![]() Hope this helps... Roi |
