I've used side by side shotguns only with twin triggers all my life - since I was eight - so that is 32 years and only twice have had a double discharge and that was a couple years ago shooting sporting clays. I generally shoot my shotguns, front trigger first but often load different shells and also with different chokes, choose which barrel to let off first depending on the target. With my .450 double as most would know I have had problems with double discharges but only when hunting water buffalo, never on targets. The last time I did it I definitely felt my finger slap the second trigger so guess it was just me. Using the rear trigger solved that problem until I work out the problem one way or another. The double discharges in the field never bothered me much, but if from a "bench" that would definitely be different! |
