I am a lover of fine shotguns, and saw many there. A couple London sleeved caught my fancy along with a fwt Lindner I once owned but no trade was worked out. I did buy a neat little rifle. It is a Sako .223 with a Lawson stock. For those unfamiliar with Lawson, it is a space age looking thing far more California sporter like than anything from California. However, it was designed to be a comfortable shooter and very much is. The wood is exhibition myrtle with magnificent black streaks and strong fiddleback. A thing of beauty. I am a wood suppliuer to Butch and did a trade and will probably do more in the future. For now, I need to fancy up my ranch in preparation to sell it. It should bring a million or more in a couple years which is my retirement money. I plan on a place on a coastal river for Summer and Fall then sno-bird it somewhere warm. |
