I have shot 2 Blaser S2 double rifles, in .375 and .500.

1. The .375 shells did not drop in. I had to push them down into the chambers relatively hard.

2. The shroud on both rifles interferes with loading because it is in the way. The more stuff that is in the way, the slower it is.

3. Once the gun is fired, it is opened in the traditional way. THen the empties must be taken out by hand. (No ejector option on the S2). Then fresh shells are inserted. The shroud is in the way for both operations. Then the rifle is closed. THEN IT MUST BE MANUALLY RECOCKED WITH THE COCKING PIECE. Then it can be fired again.

My impression: slow and awkward. But an S2 in .375 or 9.3 would probably be good for elk in Colorado or hogs in Texas.
