If you want the "dangerous game" feeling you might want to look into a knife hunt with dogs -- that would get you up close and personal. Most of the time the ones I see will run if they see, hear or smell you. Not that I do not enjoy hunting them.

I know of some people in Texas and Hawaii that hunt this way, and there are probably many, many others of which I am not aware.

NE450No2 has killed a lot more boars than I have and may have a better perspective on the dangerous game aspects.
