I'm thinking of having a Heym 88B double .458 win mag rebored to .450 Nitro #2 3 1/4 inch. I see that the brass for the 450 is about $95.00 per 20 lot. That is expensive no matter how you slice it. By the time I buy bullets to stuff in the cases, primers, powder, not to mention a new set of dies , I am speculating/calculating said rounds of ammunition will cost initially around $20.00 each. Over time this would become much less I suppose. And, the possible alternative, including the thought of 23 medical interns at Nairobi General squatting around a pail of jigsaw body parts playing the game "how to put Mikey together again"........ However, I also read that a .450 Nitro #2 3 1/4 needs a filler. This is a concern as I have never figured out how much filler is correct or just how to measure it. Does one just pull off a pinch and weigh it in the reloading scale? . Thanks and good shooting, Mike |
