I shot my S2 on the range today with several loads at 100 yds. I found that the gun shoots extremely well but is a bit ammo sensitive. I first shot a group with the last of the Norma solids. 4 shots 2"x2" on the nose. I also shot my R93 to check accuracy and the Norma solid placed 3 shots in about 3/4". I then shot the Remington Swift A frame out of both guns. The S2 and the R93 did not shoot this load very well. The S2 was about 5"x5" for 4 shots, the R93 was about 1 1/2" for 3 shots. I then shot some Lost River 300 grs J36 bullets loaded at 2550 fps. WOW! I placed 3 shots in a ragged hole, the 4th I pulled a bit. The R93 placed 3 shots in a ragged hole too. I did not have a chance to finish shooting all the ammo I wanted to try, I have the TBBC and the Nosler Partitions to shoot also, along with a supply of Kynoch in transit. My intial impression is I like the gun very much. While some say the gun has an awkward feel, I found the gun very pleasant to shoot and handle. I am very anxious to keep shooting the S2. Aleko |
