I'm not sure I'm following the thinking on the "cocking safety" in a DG DR.
Your on your stalk, moving close to your quary, the animal presents it's self, safety off and fire. Now once the safety has been slid off every time you break the gun open, reload and close the gun it's ready to fire no safety to deal with again during a charge. Having never done it before what's the problem? Is it the initial safety off or the fact that it doesn't go back on by itself. I've heard people here say they disconnect the auto funtioning safety.
