For me, crude markings defaces firearms. Those markings can easily be filled by laser welding, filing, and refinishing. I have removed stamped crude markings by tapping the metal surface using a 1/4" steel rod (edges rounded) tapped with a hammer. It pushes the metal back. It also works with light engraving. Of course, you could always say your rifle was butterbean's special rifle. |
