I was asked the other day for my cast load that I've done for my Merkel

My cast load comprises of Hornady brass - trim to 75.95mm
Federal 215 Magnum primers
AR2217 powder 87gn
All cases used were fireformed to chamber with crimping
All loaded easily & extracted well
OAL 93.5mm

Using Cast Bullet Engineering 410" 400gn mould 410-400GC.

Two shot Group touching at 50m - velocity average 2000fps & chronographed
40mm Right of centre POA from my Merkel 140AE.

The initial 86gn load estimate approx 1900fps (these weren't chronographed, my mate blew the screens off unfortunately on the first shot, but we moved it back further away for the last lot & bingo!
Best composite group of day 86 & 87gn (4 shots)
