A quick update after yesterday’s shooting. The rifle did fine with 45gr of 4198 with kapok filler and the same .452 jacketed bullets. Velocity increased a lot from 44gr, from an average of 1664fps to 1762fps with 45gr. I’m wondering if some of that increase is from shooting at 8500ft elevation in Colorado vs 900ft in North Carolina. Only a few shots were tried without the scope, and those were centered but higher, likely due to needing to use the 200yd folding leaf to get a good sight picture over the scope mounts. Still a good enough impact vs POA to hunt deer when not using the scope.
