The Merkel big bores are built on the 20 ga. action. The smaller calibers are built on the 410/28 ga. action.

I have the new Merkel catalog if you need some info. On another posting not too long back, remember I talked about contacting Merkel and talking to the owners son and some of the changes Merkel was thinking about on their DR's, most notably, a selective extractor/ejector systeem.
