Rigby and master engraver Geoffrey Lignon

Hunting isn't about the kill, it's about the adventure waiting around the corner, whether it's a rhino beeing harassed by noisy oxpeckers while grazing in the plain with a girafe busy doing the same thing in the background, elephants bumping into a pride of lions at a whaterhole in the heat of the day with the pride male knowing with its wisdom it is not worth it to even moove his head in that temperature, wisdom its sons don't have yet and showing interest in those bulls, which makes them reactive and defenssive. A scene of tention only witnessed by 2 meerkats waiting for the gladiators to engage. Or maybe a very rare sigthing, a leopard so full of his kill that it fell asleep on the branch, not hearing the hunters coming and beeing woke up by a ''go-away bird'' call, giving a look of surprise that we can easely imagine beeing followed by a jump from the branch it was sleeping a few seconds a go to vanish into the bush an never beeing seeing again.

As an in house engraver at Rigby, I'm trying my best to bring something to the table by giving life to the animals we all love and admire, that is why an engraving project like that takes at least 5 months to complete, but it is a real treat to be able to be free to express your artwork on such guns.

I added some work in progress photos to fully appreciate the magnitude of the carving and modeling work on the leopard side, always interesting to see how it is done😁
Hope it will satisfy your eyes for a moment😁.
