I have used the 75% rule on several of my doubles .. from 450-400 cal up to 700NE. It worked very well for all. The 75% rule is two-fold ... 75% bullet weight at full velocity ... and full bullet weight at 75% velocity .. I used the second method with my 700NE .. see target below.
