I have a similar rifle, same chambering - but lesser condition and a little plainer: fewer sight leaves, non-ejector, plainer wood - by Webley and Scott, c1906.
Mine behaves fairly well with 82gr 2217 under a 320gr Woodleigh RNSN. In hands before mine, it was a proven NT Buffalo rifle in a well-known character's hands.
I'd be curious for a closer look at the foresight on yours; is that a flip-up moon/night sight? Mine is just a bead on a blade.
Hi Cadet, Yes, the foresight is a flip up moon sight. Your load for the 320gn Woodleigh (using 2217) is almost identical to the one provided to me by the previous owner of this rifle. The load I have is 83 grains of 2217 for a muzzle velocity of 2220 fps.
Your rifle sounds like a proper hunting piece, and along with its history, would be a fine one to own.
