Re: Double Triggers vs Single Triggers

MauserRifle

Wouldn't it be fnny if someone was using a .22 double rifle and got killed
or overrun by a swarm of mice !!!

Re double triggers
I think it comes down to what you were brought up with, what you know,
what you have practised with.

When hunting DG, I just don't want to have to think at all about what I am
doing and just let my practised brain processes take over - which is what
normally happens.

Hence why all of my DG DR's don't have Auto Safeties as when the pressure
is on will be the time you forget to take it off.

The same reason I try to have all of my DG Bolt Guns as Mauser 98's
even though I don't use safeties in the field if I am near DG, I just get
uses to the feel of Mausers.

However, this year when I was unexpectidly charge by a Cow Buffalo
I had a Ruger M77 in 338 with 6x Scope. Luckily I had practised
with my eyes shut a couple of time to get the brain used to having
a borrowed rifle in my hands. So when she charged, it was automatic.

Anyway, here's to being overrun by a load of mice

While I think of it, better get those .22 solids out for the frontal brain shot !!!
