Quote: I bought 2 "all leather" cases from Jeff's Outfitters as "close-outs", when he went out of business. They were listed as "defective" because the stock compartment was made too small for a standard size double rifle stock. He had 4 available of which I bought only 2. I wish I would have bought all 4. Retail was $650 each, but close-out price was $120 each. I cased this Scherping double rifle with one case, and my Rigby Needle-Gun Rook Rifle with the other case. Jeff's Outfitter Leather Case. Rigby Needle Gun Rook Rifle in the case. Scherping Double Rifle in the case. Quote: I always make case labels when I case a rifle. I search the internet for an example and make a copy. If no examples can be found, I create one, like I did for this rifle. I searched the internet and I found the Scherping family crest, and then I used the engraving that is on the gun's locks, to create a label. Then I print it on special parchment paper just like original labels.
