I would suppose that is why they are called options!

As for me, IMO, and opinions are kind of like options,

all of my rifles are equiped with flip up moon sights. In fact, I wouldn't have a rifle without one.

I find them very helpful in acquiring a target late and early in the day, and especially in thick cover. The moon sight I prefer is the one made by Holland & Holland. It is of a different design than the one manufactured by NECG, although the also sell the Holland & Holland.

As others have posted, there are many occasions when the moon sight is a blessing and I have never seen one move by accident.
