I guess as long as they are sturdy and shoot well enough I would be happy with that. If it is mainly details in finishing etc. where they saved money, that would be more acceptable to me.

I have been getting by pretty well with the various cartridges built on the 30-06 case, the 30-30, and my .577 Snider rifles. But I need something that hits harder a bit longer range than those. These Baikals might be the answer, but I think I might end up being happier if I just get a Ruger #1.
