Just a note:
I have daybook copies from 1896 and all the Guns & Rifles noted in the 2400 series and 4700 series serial numbers were made by Ellis.
So it is not exactly correct that Turner or Leonard made "most" of the Jeffery Guns & Rifles (at least in the mid 1890's.
Certainly after about 1900 one sees Leonard as maker.
