I have hunted with a Krieghoff .470 since 1999 and have had no problems with the cocking system. I did shoot this gun at least 250 times before the first safari and it is very comfortable. It has accounted for a half dozen buffalo, 2 elephant, and 2 desert leopards charging. Yes I do like it. I have since benched it for a Westley .500 droplock, however, it looks like the Krieghoff will get the nod for this years ele safari in the Selous due to technical difficulties. Nevertheless, it is certainly not a step back and I am very comfortable. While it is a little light for caliber, and does not have the proportions and feel of an english gun, I do like the durability of the Krieghoff. You will not go wrong in buying it. |
