Similarly, I would like to know some more about my W. Jeffery 12 bore hammer gun, serial number 252xx. Its Proof marks indicate that it was made in Birmingham between 1904 and 1925.

But it is only the "Farmers' Gun" retailing for £3-0-0, totally plain. Proof marks show that it is actually a 13 bore, and weighs just over 7 pounds with 30" barrels. So I don't want to spend a lot for such a simple gun.
