You might want to consider a Chapuis if you want a .375 H&H. Here is why: the action is better suited for the high pressure and the Chapuis is already drilled and tapped for a scope. Buy the time you fit a scope to a Merkel it will be as expensive as the Chapuis. If you do go for it, I'll share my .375 loads with you.
